Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristen Pitts

Hi Kristen, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story is one of resilience, persistence, and agility. I started the law firm in 2020 in the middle of an international pandemic. It was a period in which we were unsure of what the future would look like and everything about our profession was changing at rapid speed. All of our meetings were moving to Zoom, and there were fewer people out and about, which resulted in much slower business. It gave us time to adapt. I started the business with two wonderful women who were willing to take a leap of faith with me and who, in spite of the fact that they could have worked anywhere, chose to pursue a dream with me and work for little money until we were able to get on our feet. Our experience taught me how relationships are, perhaps, the most valuable component of business success. That involves both the relationships we have with those we work with and those who we serve. We were able to take advantage of the slowing economy and found a great deal on a space for our office with a new office sharing business that was also in the process of getting off the ground in Georgia. We built a great relationship with that office space, and we met other wonderful business owners who we were able to share ideas with that helped our business to grow. We outgrew that space after about three years, after finally growing to the largest space they had. We still maintain a small office there, but we moved our main office to Midtown.

Our Midtown office is bustling. In four short years, we have grown from a staff of three to a staff of thirteen. We represent personal injury clients all over the State of Georgia and neighboring states. We pride ourselves on building relationships with our clients so that we can better serve their individual needs. We give our all to our cases and have great success turning hard cases into winning cases because of our persistence, hard work, and unwillingness to give up when things get hard. We work cases from the moment the client is injured through trial, if it becomes necessary. We are a full-service law firm.

In addition to providing quality, personalized legal service, I am also a registered neutral at Miles Mediation. I love the work I do at Miles because I am able to help individuals resolve their conflicts and save the time and money associated with continuing the legal process.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road, but all of the bumps and struggles along the way have helped us be better. We endured the changing legal landscape presented by the pandemic. We learned to adjust to doing depositions and mediations via Zoom. The technology was just emerging, so we were learning as we were going. We had a large influx of cases that came in over a short period of time. We had to figure out how to keep our quality services with the volume of the cases. We had to go through a lot of trial and error to figure out the best fit for our staff and the best systems to employ to operate in the most efficient manner. We are constantly learning and growing.

As you know, we’re big fans of KP Law Group. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a full service personal injury law firm that prides itself in providing big firm results for our clients with more specialized and personal attention paid to each client. We are able to handle cases from the moment of injury through the conclusion of the case, be it trial or otherwise. We pride ourselves on building good relationships with our clients so that we can better serve them. We work with clients who have been the victims of any type of personal injury, including but. not limited to car accidents, trucking accidents, wrongful deaths, pedestrian accidents, bicycle accidents, motorcycle accidents, dog bites, slip and falls, trip and falls, hit-and-run accidents, and DUI accidents.

Our motto is that we provide Fierce and Fearless Representation to our clients. What that means to us is that we will tenaciously fight for our clients rights and will zealously address any challenge presented to us with our unique brand of style and flair. Our brand is all about inclusivity and access for all to quality representation.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
We are a close-knit, family oriented group. There were three of us who started the firm together, and we were all pregnant with our children at the same time. We struggled together physically, financially, and work-wise to start the firm, but it made our families very close. Our children have grown up together, and as we have continued to grow, our daily has expanded. We all show up at the kids’ birthday parties and special events. If you come on the right day, you will see them interacting at the office.
